The Backdrop
Lazy Leigh’s Recipes App began as a personal project inspired by a close friend who wanted an easier way to discover and save recipes. This mobile app aims to make the culinary journey simple and enjoyable, offering personalized recipe recommendations and an effortless cooking experience.
The Mission
As the sole designer, my task was to handle the entire design process from start to finish. The goal was to create an app that was not only functional but also delightfully user-friendly. It needed to seamlessly blend practicality with an engaging user experience.
Making It Happen
I started with thorough research to understand user preferences and study the existing landscape of recipe apps. Identifying the challenges people face in the kitchen helped shape the app's direction.
The branding phase focused on giving the app a unique personality that reflected my friend’s tastes, resulting in a visual identity with a personalized touch that appeals broadly. Moving to the UI/UX design stage, I crafted an intuitive, visually pleasing interface. Thoughtful wireframing and prototyping improved user navigation, ensuring a smooth experience for both novice and experienced cooks.
The Result
