Peter Pan Place
Website Rebrand
The Backdrop
While working at a small agency, I had the privilege of contributing to the redesign of Peter Pan Place – a family-owned holiday and business resort along the breathtaking Wild Coast of South Africa. With its vibrant atmosphere, diverse personalities, stunning natural scenery, and splendid weather, Peter Pan Place stands as an enchanting holiday retreat for couples and families alike.
The Mission
My role? Refreshing their brand presence and transforming their website into an interactive, mobile-friendly, user-focused online experience. The main objective was crafting a responsive site with an elevated booking engine for this one-of-a-kind resort. Using captivating imagery, I highlighted key content while staying true to their distinctive, whimsical brand style.
Making It Happen
I dove into user research for Peter Pan Place to understand what their audience wanted and needed from the site experience. These insights led to a comprehensive revamp, introducing a clean yet vibrant style guide to address usability issues.
For the UI/UX, responsive design was an absolute must for flawless cross-device viewing. I meticulously wireframed innovative ways to streamline navigation and optimize the all-important booking process. Prioritizing load times, I fine-tuned videos and visuals to be lightweight for swift loading in less than 7 seconds.
I made the booking engine the first thing guests see on the homepage, eliminating any barriers to making direct reservations. Smart calendar flexibility empowered visitors to scope out the best rates, while the streamlined journey collected only the essentials. The highlight was a room customizer, allowing guests to personalize their stay by choosing the number of rooms.
The Result
The new Peter Pan Place website could be experienced on any device, anywhere. Thanks to its captivating aesthetics and smooth usability, guests were as drawn to exploring the resort online as they were to visiting in person.
